WhitePages.com Ranked 55 Fastest Growing Technology Company in North America

2005 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 rankings include WhitePages.com in its first year of eligibilitiy

SEATTLE-October 20, 2005

WhitePages.com, Inc. the leading provider of free online residential directory assistance services, today announced it ranked number 55 on the 2005 Deloitte Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing public and private technology companies in North America.

Based on percentage of revenue growth during a five year period, WhitePages.com grew more than 4,600 percent, also earning a top five spot in the state of Washington. This was the first year of eligibility for WhitePages.com since its incorporation in 2000.

The combined strength of the company's proprietary sites, WhitePages.com, 411.com, WhitePages.ca and PhoneNumber.com, along with the addition of major distribution partners like MSN, SBC and the YellowPages Group in Canada, enabled the Company to more than double revenue and profit each consecutive year since incorporating in 2000.

"Making the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 is commendable in today's highly competitive technology industry," said Tony Kern, deputy national managing principal of Deloitte's Technology, Media & Telecommunications industry practice. "We congratulate WhitePages.com, Inc. on being one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America."

"Placing in the top 100 on this highly competitive list of public and private technology companies is a testament to the strength of our vision, and our dedication to meeting the needs of our customers and partners," said CEO Max Bardon. "That vision will continue to remain solid as we strengthen our position as the leading destination for the most accurate, free, online contact information."

The number 55 ranking of WhitePages.com on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 is the latest in a string of accolades the Company has received in the last year. Last month, CEO Max Bardon was selected to the Puget Sound Business Journal's prestigious '40 under 40' list. In June, WhitePages.com made Washington CEO's 'Best Companies to Work For' list.

In March, the Washington Software Alliance selected WhitePages.com as the 'Consumer Product of the Year.' The company is also a finalist for the Puget Sound Business Journal's '100 Fastest Growing Private Companies' in Washington State.

The Fast 500 list is compiled from Deloitte's 15 regional North American Fast 50 lists, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500, and public company database research. To qualify for the Fast 500, entrants must have had 2000 operating revenues of at least $50,000 USD or $75,000 CD for the United States and Canada, respectively, and 2004 operating revenues of at least $1 million USD or CD.

Entrants must be headquartered in North America and must be a "technology company," defined as a company that owns proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies' technology in a unique way does not qualify.
