WhitePages.com Launches iPhone Application for Searching and Connecting

Online directory puts millions of contacts directly in the hands of iPhone customers

SEATTLE—August 18, 2008

WhitePages.com, the popular Web site that provides people a simple way to connect with confidence, today launched WhitePages Mobile, a free downloadable iPhone application that allows direct mobile access to one of the country’s largest online people search databases. In addition to millions of contacts, the application provides advanced search capabilities to help iPhone customers find personal and business listings and connect while on the go.

WhitePages Mobile packages WhitePages’ connection tools and online directory of more than 180 million people into a new iPhone application that provides consumers a fast and easy way to connect. WhitePages Mobile offers three search tools in one - people search, business search and reverse phone number lookup.

“WhitePages Mobile enables iPhone users to truly connect from anywhere at anytime,” said Keela Robison, vice president, product for WhitePages. “By integrating our powerful database into a simple, intuitive iPhone application, we’ve made it easier for our customers to find the contact information they need, no matter where they are.”

WhitePages Mobile has a simple user interface which makes searching remarkably easy. The application uses the iPhone’s GPS capabilities or smart text entry to recognize most search cities after typing one or two characters. Names, addresses, home and work phone numbers and household members are all available using the people search feature. Best of all, customers simply need to tap a listing to call the selected contact or get maps and directions from their current location.

In addition to people search, WhitePages Mobile offers business search to find services on the go. Too late to cook dinner at home? Find a local pizza place that delivers. Customers can choose a business category and location to retrieve suggestions for local businesses that match their needs. The results of recent people and business searches are automatically stored for easy retrieval, even when the phone is offline, such as on an airplane or in an elevator.

Looking to identify unknown callers on your iPhone? Reverse phone lookup allows customers to search by phone number, retrieve detailed personal or business listings and save the information in their iPhone contact list for future reference.

WhitePages Mobile is available as a free download in the iTunes application store in the Reference category. The application is available worldwide.
